As a recently published author of “You Can’t Do It Alone” I am still in awe and grateful for the support, my book has received. I am so thankful to the people that were cheering me on during the writing process and during Sean’s illness. I hope my book is of help to those who are grieving or going through a rough time.
Between writing the book, working in the newsroom, and being a mommy, I always find time to sit down with Gus and read with him. A book we read recently was “Who Moved My Cheese?” by Spencer Johnson. It’s a great book on how people can react to changes and challenges, as it gives a great perspective on it. We also read Danica McKellar’s “The Time Machine!” book. It is a fun and interactive way to review and brush up on our multiplication and division.
On my own time, I LOVE to reread Leo Buscaglia’s “Living Loving and Learning”. It has been one of my favorite books for years. I highly recommend it! I recently read “Tonight at 10: Kicking Booze and Breaking News,” Courtney Friel’s autobiography. She is raw and honest about her journey to sobriety and recovery. It is a very inspiring and great read for anyone.
